Typography-Based Poster
DC Beer Fest
This project challenged me to design a poster using typography as the sole visual element, in grayscale, for a real upcoming event. With no imagery allowed, I leaned into type hierarchy, rhythm, and spacing to create visual interest. I subtly referenced the idea of beer foam through typographic treatment, letting letterforms do the heavy lifting. Peer feedback encouraged me to clarify what the festival offered, including brewery booths and food trucks, which I incorporated into the final design while maintaining typographic integrity.
